Медицинская литература. Новинки.Surgical treatment of locally advanced gastric cancer. We have an experience of surgical treatment of locally advanced gastric cancer. Between 2006 and 2008 years 491 patients with advanced gastric cancer were operated. 75 patients (15.2%) had proximal cancer, 266 patients (54.1%) – body of stomach cancer, 150 patients (30.5%) – distal cancer. 21 patients underwent colon resection, 17 – atypical hepatic resection, 8 – left adrenalectomy, 24 –distal cauda pancreatic resection, 5 – hemipancreatectomy, 3 – subtotal pancreatectomy, 17 - left cupula of diaphragm resection and mediastinal pleura, 5 – lung marginal excision. Early postoperative complications were 5.5%, including failure anastomosis stitches 6%. Postoperative morbidity was 3.5%. 2 year survival was 57%, 3 year survival – 34%. R0 in combination with rational chemotherapy could considerably improve the results of patients treatment with prognostic unfavorable stage of disease.
